"One way that Carla acts to generate a culture of success for her dealership is through giving. She has branded herself using CarlaCares, a group of nonprofit organizations to which she donates and supports. However, this is not for personal gain, as she describes herself as having a passion for giving back to her community. The bonus is the attitude change for employees that see her level of commitment. Her passion for giving is contagious, as she is also completely committed to being on-site, in her stores, every single day. Such conviction inspires her employees to achieve more than most, all while having more pride in what they do than most."

Northampton Volkswagen Wins Local Award for Marketing Success

NORTHAMPTON – Northampton Volkswagen, part of the TommyCar Auto Group, has been selected for the 2013 Best of Northampton Award in the New Car Dealers category by the Northampton Award Program.

Each year, the Northampton Award Program identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category.

These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

These exceptional companies help make the Northampton area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2013 Northampton Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity.

Winners were determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Northampton Award Program and data provided by third parties.

“We are incredibly honored that Northampton Volkswagen received this award,” Carla Cosenzi, president of TommyCar Auto Group, said. “Northampton Volkswagen‘s presence has been embraced by the city of Northampton and we strongly believe that giving back to our community is important.

“We’re happy that we can show our appreciation and gratitude with our new facility re-opening, which will contribute to the area’s economic development and will also allow us to better serve our customers in the local community, she continued.”

Northampton Volkswagen re-opened on King Street in early February.

The $6.5 million state-of-the-art Volkswagen dealership is just under 18,000 square feet including 13 service bays.
