TommyCar Auto Proud Supporter Of The 2019 Women Of Impact Event

TommyCar Auto was a proud supporter of the Business West 2019 Women Of Impact Event. Thank you to Business West for bringing us together to celebrate the 2019 Women of Impact Recipients. We were surrounded by so many powerful and impactful women who’s accomplishments have positively influenced our business and community in Western Massachusetts. It was amazing to have Keynote Speaker, Lisa Tanner, President of Life Is Good, at the event. Her story and the story of Life Is Good was inspirational! Congratulations 2019 Women of Impact Recipients.

Say hello to our tree, ‘Carla’s Christmas Cottage’! We donated our tree for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield’s 19th Annual Festival of Trees!

The funds raised allowed the Springfield Boys & Girls Club to provide membership, sport and art based programs, enrichment activities, field trips, and a true “KID” experience for the 2,294 youth served each year by Springfield Boys & Girls Club.

TommyCar Auto Group was a proud supporter and sponsor of the Rock 102 Mayflower Marathon. The Service Department offered discounts on vehicle maintenance to anyone willing to donate non-perishable canned goods. Thanks to the response and generous support of community members, we received hundreds of canned goods.

This year the annual Rock 102 Mayflower Marathon raised $140,000 worth of food and donations for the Springfield Open Pantry. Bax & O’Brien broadcasted live for 52 hours from the Basketball Hall of Fame in downtown Springfield. Their goal was to fill three, 48-foot trailers with non-perishable food donations and they completed that goal! Congratulations!

TommyCar Auto is always so proud to support amazing organizations within the Western Massachusetts community! So when we got asked to sponsor Square One’s 14th Annual Tea Party, we couldn’t say no. The theme of the Tea Party this year was Peter Pan “Never Grow Up.” All proceeds benefited the children and families served by Square One.

Square One provides a range of family-friendly education and support services that are unique to each child and every family served. Their focus is on providing opportunities for children and families to build the foundation for lifelong learning, to make smart choices, and to grow strong cognitively, emotionally, socially and physically.

Square One’s programs include early education and care at centers in Springfield, home-based care settings located throughout greater Springfield, and out of school time care for elementary school age children. Their parent education, support and training programs are offered through groups, home visitation and personalized case management to help parents access whatever services are needed to be successful in their role as their child’s first teacher.

Their vision is to affect meaningful change that results in better lives and more promising futures for children, families and our communities. Square One achieves this vision by raising funds, advocating on behalf of
and families, delivering research-based solutions, and developing needed services that promote education, health, safety, holistic development and self-reliance.
